It's normal for permanent makeup to fade over time. Therefore, after your initial microblading session, you'll need a top-up. This will maintain the shape, colour, and definition of your brows.

Generally, it's recommended to get a touch-up every 12 to 18 months but this will then be required to be booked as a new microblading session due to the density of the colour fade.

Microblading Top-up aftercare

  • For at least 7 days, keep the region dry. Keeping your skin dry while taking a shower is a part of this.
  • For at least a week, refrain from using cosmetics. This is due to the pigments still adhering to the shallow skin-related incisions left by the blading.
  • Don't pick, or scratch the region between your eyebrows.
  • Prior to your follow-up visit and until the area is fully healed, refrain from saunas, swimming, and excessive perspiration.
  • Follow the directions on any medicated cream or healing balm that your technician may have given.
