Microblading is a semi-permanent form of cosmetic tattooing. However, in contrast to conventional tattoos, microblading applies pigment to the skin while drawing hair-like strokes along the brows. The outcome? Realistic-appearing eyebrow hairs!

Microblading process

Consultation & Patch test: In order to determine your ideal brow style, our brow specialist will conduct a thorough consultation with you in our brow studio. So that we can see what you like, you should come with your brows done as usual. Then, without applying any makeup, we inspect and brush back your natural brows to see what we have to work with. At each step, pictures will be taken, which will be useful for comparison after we're done. A patch test can be carried out during this process and must be at least 48 hours before your treatment is due to avoid any rescheduling.

Step 1: We will measure your brows with callipers or rulers to measure the position of your new brows to make sure they are symmetrical.

Step 2: Once we have agreed on the shape of your eyebrows we will then pencil them in for us to use as a guide.

Step 3: Your chosen colour, which we advise should match your natural tones will be mixed and agreed before we begin applying.

Step 4: We now start the tattoo process applying fine strokes to the guide we have created.

Step 5: Once the tattoo stage has been completed we will talk you through the aftercare steps you will need to take for your new brows!

Step 6: Arrange and book in your top-up session that can be carried out 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment. The top-up session is necessary to achieve the full effect of Microbladed brows.

Microblading aftercare

  • For at least 7 days, keep the region dry. Keeping your skin dry while taking a shower is a part of this.
  • For at least a week, refrain from using cosmetics. This is due to the pigments still adhering to the shallow skin-related incisions left by the blading.
  • Don't pick, or scratch the region between your eyebrows.
  • Prior to your follow-up visit and until the area is fully healed, refrain from saunas, swimming, and excessive perspiration.
  • Follow the directions on any medicated cream or healing balm that your technician may have given.
